Applicants must complete the following phases in the hiring process:

Written Exam & Physical Agility Test
Background Interview & Investigation
Pre-employment physical and psychological examination
Final approval by the Human Resources Manager and the Superintendent.

APPLICANT TESTING INFORMATION

The Western Virginia Regional Jail will be conducting written applicant testing on the following dates:

June 18, 2013
July 2, 2013

The written and physical agility testing will be conducted at 9:00 am at the Western Virginia Regional Jail

You must submit an application prior to taking the written test.

This is not open testing.
You must successfully complete the written examination in order to be eligible to take the physical agility test. The written test will take approximately ninety (90) minutes to complete.
Please come directly to the jail facility at 5885 West River Road, Salem, VA, with a picture ID.

If you pass the written test, the agility test will be given immediately following the written test. Please wear or bring athletic clothing.
