HVAC Technician

The Western Virginia Regional Jail a state-of-the-art facility is currently seeking a licensed HVAC Technician to work in the Maintenance department.  This individual will be responsible for performing skilled technical work in the maintenance, repair, replacement and installation of heating air conditioning and refrigeration equipment, controls and distribution systems.  Will provide technical assistance with the design of HVAC systems, including installations and modifications to existing systems. Must be a  Licensed Journeyman HVAC certification, possess a high school diploma or GED, US citizen and pass a background screening. 

Salary Range $28,602- $35,471
(Commensurate with experience / full-time benefits)

Licensed Professional Counselor (grant funded)

The Western Virginia Regional Jail is currently seeking a Project Coordinator for the Tech Careers Program at the facility.  The qualified individual will coordinate the provision of mental health services to inmates, provide individual and group counseling, perform psychological assessments, establish and maintain records and work directly with various staff members to provide Microcomputer Technology training for non-violent inmates  within the secure area of the correctional facility.  Licensed Professional Counselor, valid VA driver’s license with good driving record required.  Previous experience in a correctional facility preferred. 

Starting salary $35,000
(commensurate with experience/benefits negotiable) 

A grant funded 1 year position with a possibility of an extension.
